In 2007 we tilled up some land to create space for neighbors to grow food together. Since that modest start, the garden has grown a lot, and we have multiple plots available for rent.
Here are the details of the garden, in case you’d like to grow food for your family here:
For a 10′ x 10′ plot the cost is $30 for the growing season.
For a 10′ x 20′ plot the cost is $40 for the growing season.
For a 20′ x 20′ plot the cost is $50 for the growing season.
You are responsible for weeding, planting, and maintaining your plot.
To grow with us, you need to fill out an application and submit it to the church. Applications are available starting in March, and plots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
We typically open the garden in early May, and close it in late October. Throughout the growing season we have monthly tea times for gardeners to gather and connect, and we also have two potlucks. We believe the garden is a place of not just growing food, but growing community!
Check back in March for a garden application, and information on where to mail it.
