Who Are We…?

We are celebrating 20 years of ministry together today and as we do so, we will turn to God’s covenant with David in 1 Samuel 7 for God’s perspective. David said, “Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me thus far?” As your pastor for 20 years, I think about similar words from Charles Spurgeon: “Brethren, who are we that God should have been so good to us?”

God has been so gracious to us and through us over these years. As we open his Word together, again today, we will see that we are always wonderfully in a position to be recipients and instruments of his grace. And our grace receiving and giving will always ultimately derive from the Fountain of Grace, Jesus Christ. And so today, as always, we will point to him and give him the praise and glory.
